The knife in the photograph is the work of the Fujin knife line by the blacksmith Yu Kurosaki. Fujin is the god of wind and one of the oldest Shinto gods in Japanese mythology. The striking hammered pattern on the blade bring to mind skin-piercing winter gusts.
